Staying In

I love the weather this morning. It’s so cool and relaxing. And the sun’s not too bright. I think I’m going to stay in bed all day and enjoy this while I can. After all, it’s back to work again tomorrow.

Weather Changes

I have a really bad cold.

I blame it on the weather. It’s hot one minute and really cold the next.

Every night it’s so cold — colder than the weather last Christmas. It’s weird. Usually the weather starts to warm up by now for the summer. Actually, it’s supposed to be hot by now already but it’s not.

I can’t really complain. I enjoy this kind of weather than the hot and humid summers we usually get. I only like warm weather when I’m on a beach or out for a swim. Other than that I’d take cool weather anytime.

Idle Time

I realized that when you are used to having so much to do, idle time can drive you crazy.

Your brain wants you to do as much as you normally do but there just isn’t anything to do.

You want to be productive but limited resources don’t give you that much to work with.

I’m grateful for coffee, a good book and a quiet room to read in.  At least I did something a little bit useful even if it was just for a couple of hours.

Hungry. Sleepy. Bored.

Power outages last night left me without much sleep so it wasn’t surprising that I woke up late and had to rush off for work. Things took a while to get done at an appointment we had for work — we were supposed to inquire about something but the lady ended up doing the paperwork for us instead, which seemed funny at the time due to my hunger (woke up too late and had to skip breakfast, what I did made no sense at all). I don’t really remember what triggered my little fit, I just remember starting to laugh. Crazy!

When I think back I think I really shouldn’t have been laughing because we were talking about a motorcycle accident insurance claim.

Getting back to the office tired from the day out had left me feeling bored. Too bored to do anything. I waited for the clock to reach 5PM and I was out of there.

I hear fire truck sirens blaring somewhere nearby. I hope nobody’s hurt, wherever the fire is.
